Openings Tab
The Openings Tab contains various openings/objects that can be added to the design.
Template Slots Select this topic to see information on the Template Slots for adding openings from the Template Library to the design. The individual Template Slots are Interchangeable with any of the templates available in the Template Library. Template Definition Templates are specialized parametric shape generators created by Wizard. Many of the templates have additional Properties that can be edited which can change the shape, curves and corners of the design as well as a wide assortment of Parameters. Add Template Select this topic to see information on using Add Template to select a new template or select a recently used template. Add V-Groove Select this topic to see information on Adding V-Grooves to the design. V-Groove Definition The Normal Bevel Closed V-Groove involves two symmetrical cuts: one in the matboard and a corresponding cut in the fallout, both forming a mirrored arrangement. The matboard is sliced halfway through the thickness and the core is visible from the front. First Cut: Cuts the Interior cut into the Fallout Clockwise. Second Cut: Cuts the Exterior cut into the Matboard Counter-Clockwise. Select V-Groove from the Current Bevel Type dropdown control to edit this configuration. Add a CutArt Select this topic to see information on Adding CutArts to the design. CutArt Definition CutArt™ are simple shapes and design elements created by Wizard that can be added to designs. CutArts can be applied to your current design and edited, such as resizing and rotating. They can be Cut, Debossed, Penned or cut on Vinyl. See: Add CutArt Function
Add Font Select this topic to see information on Adding a Font to the design. This includes both LetterMat and TTFs. LetterMat Definition The LetterMat™ fonts are specialized fonts designed specifically for the Wizard FrameShop software. Single Line Fonts: The letters are formed with Single Lines, not drawn as the outlines of shapes. Single line fonts can only be Debossed or drawn with the Pen. Outline Fonts: The Outline fonts display the shapes of the letters as outlines with only a slight distinction between the thin and thick strokes. These fonts can be Debossed, Penned or Cut. See: Add Font Function See: LetterMat Properties TTF Definition The True Type Font (TTF) is an additional source of fonts, separate from LetterMats, that can be loaded into Designer to Cut, Deboss, or Pen. The True Type Font (TTF) format was created to work between both Apple (Mac) and Microsoft (Windows) and could be deciphered by most printers by default. The TTFs contain the mathematical outlines of each character in the font. The True Type Fonts are located in the /Windows/Fonts directory. Note: TTFs have not been tested by Wizard and results may vary. Feel free to experiment. See: Add Font Function See: TTF Properties
Vectorize Image Select this topic to see information on the Vectorize Image function which allows you to load an image and make it a Deboss/Pen or cuttable object. Vectorize Definition The Vectorize Image function in Designer allows you to turn a Rastor (Image) into a Vector (Cuttable Format) to apply as a Deboss, Pen or cut in Vinyl. This is simply a Raster to Vector Conversion. Note that the Vectorizing utility in Trace has additional parameters that can be adjusted if you need more control of how an image is Vectorized. Add Deboss Opening Select this topic to see information on Adding a Deboss Opening to the design. Deboss Definition The Deboss cartridge stylus presses onto the surface of the matboard to create a subtle design. There are three Deboss stylus sizes: Wide, Medium, Thin. In addition to Template Shapes, you can also Deboss CutArts, LetterMats and TTFs. Add Pen Opening Select this topic to see information on Adding a Pen Opening to the design. Pen Definition The Pen Cartridge is used to draw onto the surface of the matboard on the CMC to create a design. You can Pen Designs, CutArts, LetterMats and TTFs. See: Pen Cartridge Configurations
Add Vinyl Select this topic to see information on Adding a Vinyl to the design. Vinyl Definition The Vinyl Cartridge uses a special blade to cut the Vinyl which has been temporarily adhered to matboard to create the design. See: Vinyl Cartridge Configurations
