Frames Defaults

Frame Records

  • The Frame Records List section displays the current Frame records.

  • Click on Products in the Admin section of the Main Screen.

  • Click on the Frames tab to open the Frames section.

  • For Additional Information:

  • See Matboard Properties for information on assigning matboard SKUs to each layer of the design in Designer.

  • See Mat SKUs for information on assigning matboard SKUs to each layer of the design in Visualize.

  • See Frame SKUs for information on assigning Frame SKUs to each layer of the design in Visualize.

  • See Assign SKU to Layer for more information on Assigning a SKU to a Layer on the Cut Preview.

  • Default Settings:

  • See Admin > Subscription for the default settings for Subscribing to Vendors.

  • See Admin > Vendors for the default settings for Vendors you are Subscribed to.

  • See Admin > Mats for the default settings for Mat Records for Vendors you are Subscribed to.

 Subscription Definition

Subscribing to a Vendor gives you electronic updates to that vendor’s Content.

If the user does not Subscribe to a particular Vendor, that Vendor's Content will not be displayed within the software.

Frame SKUs

SKU

  • The frame SKU number is displayed in the SKU column.

 SKU Definition

Subscribing to the specific Vendors allows you to select the desired SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) for Frames, Fillets and Mats in Designer and Visualize.  

If you are not Subscribed to the Vendor, their SKUs will not be displayed/selectable.

Vendor

  • The name of the frame Vendor is displayed in the Vendor column.

Last Updated

  • The date this frame record was last updated from the vendor is displayed on the Last Updated column.

Search by SKU

  • Use Search by SKU to locate a Frame Record.

  • Enter the desired frame SKU to search in the Search by SKU field.

  • Hit Enter to search.

  • The frame record associated with this SKU will be displayed.

 SKUs Definition

Subscribing to the specific Vendors allows you to select the desired SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) for Frames, Fillets and Mats in Designer and Visualize.  

If you are not Subscribed to the Vendor, their SKUs will not be displayed/selectable.

Select Vendor

  • Select the desired Vendor to view.

  • Select the desired Vendor to search from the Select Vendor drop-down control.

  • The frame records associated with this vendor will display on the Frame Records Listing.

  • Optionally, select All Vendors from the Select Vendor drop-down control to display all of the vendor records. 

Discontinued vs Unavailable

  • Unavailable is not the same as Discontinued.

  • The Vendor marks a product as Discontinued when a product is not available to purchase.

  • A shop could still have product that is Discontinued but still have remaining stock on hand to sell.

Discontinued

  • The content item is marked Discontinued.

  • The vendor flagged the item as Discontinued when it is no longer available to purchase.

  • Discontinued items will still exist in the database for previously created tickets.

  • The Framer/Distributor may still have have some stock on hand to sell.

 Discontinued Definition

Discontinued is checked if this Frame/Mat SKU item is discontinued and is no longer available to purchase as the vendor has flagged it as Discontinued.

A shop could still have product that is discontinued but still available if they have remaining stock to sell.

Discontinued items will still exist in the database for previously created tickets.

Unavailable is checked if this frame SKU item is unavailable.

Marking an item Unavailable removes the frame product from the SKU lists on the ticket screen and prevents the user from selecting and selling that product.

Unavailable

  • The content item is marked Unavailable.

  • The vendor flagged the item as Unavailable when it is no longer available.

  • Unavailable items are removed from the SKU lists on the ticket screen and prevents the user from selecting and selling that product.

 Unavailable Definition

Discontinued is checked if this Frame/Mat SKU item is discontinued and is no longer available to purchase as the vendor has flagged it as Discontinued.

A shop could still have product that is discontinued but still available if they have remaining stock to sell.

Discontinued items will still exist in the database for previously created tickets.

Unavailable is checked if this frame SKU item is unavailable.

Marking an item Unavailable removes the frame product from the SKU lists on the ticket screen and prevents the user from selecting and selling that product.

Primary SKU 

  • The Primary SKU number for this frame record is displayed on the Primary SKU field.

Vendor SKU

  • The Vendor SKU number for this frame record is displayed on the Vendor SKU field.

User Defined SKU

  • The User Defined SKU number for this frame record is displayed on the User Defined SKU field.

  • The User Defined SKU can be anything that the user would like to use, which allows the user to use their own SKU entries and match them to existing SKUs.

UPC

  • The UPC number for this frame record is displayed on the UPC field. This is the barcode number that is associated with this entry.

Vendor

  • The Vendor name is displayed in the Vendor field.             

Description

  • The Description field displays the frame description for this record.

Location

  • The Location field displays the frame location.

Family

  • The Family field displays the frame family, if applicable. 

Sizes

  • The Sizes section displays the sizes information for this frame record.

Width

  • The moulding width is displayed in the Width field.

Rabbet Width

  • The rabbet width is displayed in the Rabbet Width field.

Rabbet Height

  • The rabbet height is displayed in the Rabbet Height field.

Styles

  • The style of this frame record is selected in the Styles section.

Thumbnail

  • The thumbnail associated with this frame record, if available, is displayed in the Thumbnail section. 

  • A thumbnail can be created when selecting frame textures when Visualizing the project, or loaded manually through the Load Texture button (described below). 

 Texture Thumbnail Definition

A Texture Thumbnail is a visual sample of the selected Frame/Mat SKU (Stock-Keeping Unit) or manually created Thumbnail.

If the selected SKU does not contain a Thumbnail, one can be created in Visualization.

You can create a Texture Thumbnail using the Set Texture or Set Solid/Core Color functions.

Load Texture

  • Create a Texture to display when this frame record is selected.

  • This texture will be displayed when this SKU is selected in the project.

  • Click Load Texture.

  • Locate the desired texture image file.

  • Click Open.

  • Click Save.

  • For Additional Information: If the texture/color thumbnail for the SKU selected is not available, you can create one using:

 Texture Thumbnail Definition

A Texture Thumbnail is a visual sample of the selected Frame/Mat SKU (Stock-Keeping Unit) or manually created Thumbnail.

If the selected SKU does not contain a Thumbnail, one can be created in Visualization.
