  • Finger Clamps are the Clamping components for the Z Series to hold the matboard in place while cutting.

  • The CMC will do an interference check to see if any of the Clamps are in the way of the current cut sequence.

  • If any of the Clamps will interfere with the current cutting operation, the LED light adjacent to each interfering Clamp will turn red and will be highlighted in red on the Cut Preview screen.

  • The interfering Clamps will need to be rotated 180º so they may retract into the Board out of the way before you are able to cut the mat.

  • After rotating the Finger Clamps, you may continue to cut.

  • Just before cutting, the remaining Finger Clamps will clamp onto the matboard and hold it in place while cutting.

  • After cutting, the Finger Clamps will disengage so you can remove the matboard.

  • Rotate the Finger Clamps back to the original position.

  • The Mat Clamp Pressure can be adjusted with the Mat Clamp Pressure Knob on the Control Panel.

  • The Clamp Pressure can be set to a specific pressure with the Clamp Pressure Adjustment on the Control Panel.
