Cartridges Involved

This Configuration element involves the following Cartridges.

Note: Not all cartridges are available for all CMC models.

Crease Cartridge Configurations

  • The Crease Cartridge creases the material to make folding it easier when making Boxes.

  • This is viewed from the front of the mat.

Crease Tab

  • Select the Crease Cartridge.

Crease Exterior Backup is too Long

Problem:

  • The Crease Exterior Backup is too Long.

Resolution:

  • Decrease the Exterior Backup.

  • See Exterior Backup for additional information.

  • The Exterior Backup controls where the blade plunges into the matboard on exterior cuts.

Crease Exterior Backup is too Short

Problem:

  • The Crease Exterior Backup is too Short.

Resolution:

  • Increase the Exterior Backup.

  • See Exterior Backup for additional information.

  • The Exterior Backup controls where the blade plunges into the matboard on exterior cuts.

Crease Exterior Overcut is too Long

Problem:

  • The Crease Exterior Overcut is applied too Long.

Resolution:

  • Decrease the Exterior Overcut.

  • The Exterior Overcut controls where the blade retracts from the matboard on exterior cuts.

Crease Exterior Overcut is too Short

Problem:

  • The Crease Exterior Overcut is applied too Short.

Resolution:

  • Increase the Exterior Overcut.

  • The Exterior Overcut controls where the blade retracts from the matboard on exterior cuts.

Crease is the Wrong Size

Problem:

  • Crease is applied at the Wrong Size.

Resolution:

  • If cut too small, increase the Opening Adjustment.

  • If cut too large, decrease the Opening Adjustment.

  • See Opening Adjustment for additional information.

  • The Opening Adjustment controls the size of the opening.

Crease is Applied at the Wrong Depth When Using a SKU

Problem:

  • The Crease is applied at the Wrong Depth When Using a SKU.

Resolution:

  • Cut too shallow, increase the Depth Bias.

  • Cut too deep, decrease the Depth Bias.

  • See Depth Bias for additional information.

  • The Depth Bias calculates the proper Blade Depth when a SKU is selected for the matboard.

Set Box Defaults

  • Set up the Box Defaults for the Crease cartridge in the Admin Editor section of the software.
