Select the desired remnant trimming direction on the CMC Z1 and Z (9000z) from the Remnant Trimming dropdown control. This will trim off the remaining section of the matboard to make it easier to store the remaining pieces for future use.   

Click the Set Advanced Options button to access the Advanced Outside Options. 

Make the desired selection for the Remnant Trimming as described below.

Click OK.

The CMC will cut with these settings.

Set Remnant Trimming to Off to not cut off the remnant from the sheet of matboard.

Click Set Advanced Options to access the Advanced Outside Cut Options.

Set Remnant Trimming to Off.

The design will cut but not trim off the remnant that remains from the matboard.

Set Remnant Trimming to Auto to let the software determine the best direction to cut off the remnant.

Click Set Advanced Options to access the Advanced Outside Cut Options.

Set Remnant Trimming to Auto to let the software determine the best direction to cut off the remnant.

The software will automatically determine the best direction to cut off the remnant matboard by selecting either vertically or horizontally depending upon the design.

Set Remnant Trimming to Horizontal to default to cut the remnant off horizontally.

Click Set Advanced Options to access the Advanced Outside Cut Options.

Set Remnant Trimming to Horizontal.

The design will cut and trim off the remnant matboard horizontally.

Set Remnant Trimming to Vertical to set the default to cut the remnant matboard off vertically.

Click Set Advanced Options to access the Advanced Outside Cut Options.

Set Remnant Trimming to Vertical.

The design will cut and trim off the remnant matboard vertically.

The default setting for Cutting the Outside can be set in the Admin > Editor section.

The default setting for 90 Degree Outside can be set in the Admin > Cutting section.

The default setting for the Advanced Options can be set in the Admin > Cutting section.

The default setting for the Remnant Trimming can be set in the Admin > Cutting section.
