Show Rulers On

Select Options > Show Rulers to display rulers along the border edges.

Select Options > Show Rulers. 

Rulers are displayed around the borders of the mat. 

If you need to increase the editor canvas size, edit the Size section.

Show Rulers Off

Select Options > Unclick Show Rulers to not display rulers around the borders of the mat.

Select Options > Unclick Show Rulers. 

The gray background of the editor will be displayed throughout the work area. 

This may also make it difficult to tell where the edge of the design boundaries are. There is a small padded area at the edges of the screen boundaries where the rulers are usually displayed.
