Deboss Wide Configurations

  • The Blue Deboss Wide Cartridge presses a wide stylus into the matboard to create a subtle design.

 Cartridge Definition

A Cartridge is the physical component that holds a Blade, Deboss Stylus, Pen or other application tool.

Select the Deboss Wide Cartridge Type

 How to Select the Bevel Type to Edit

Select desired Cartridge Tab

Select the desired Deboss Cartridge Size from Current Bevel Type.

Edit the desired Configuration field.

Select the Area of Concern for Wide Deboss Below:

  • Be sure to select the Deboss Wide from the Current Bevel Type dropdown control.

Deboss-Wide is Applied to the Wrong Place Horizontally

Problem:

  • Deboss-Wide is applied to the wrong place Horizontally.

Resolution:

 Horizontal Adjustment Definition

The Horizontal Adjustment defines the global Horizontal placement of objects applied with the Non-Blade Tool Cartridges.

If the Non-Blade Tool line is applied Too Far Left, Increase the Horizontal Adjustment.

If the Non-Blade Tool line is applied Too Far Right, Decrease the Horizontal Adjustment.

 How to Adjust the Horizontal Adjustment

When adjusting Configurations, click the Plus (Increase) or Minus (Decrease) button on the desired field about five times.

Click OK and do another test cut.

Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.

Deboss-Wide is Applied to the Wrong Place Vertically 

Problem:

  • Deboss-Wide is applied to the wrong place Vertically.

Resolution:

 Vertical Adjustment Definition

The Vertical Adjustment defines the global Vertical placement of objects applied with the Non-Blade Tool Cartridges.

If the Non-Blade Tool line is applied Too Far Up, Decrease the Vertical Adjustment.

If the Non-Blade Tool line is applied Too Far Down, Increase the Vertical Adjustment.

 How to Adjust the Vertical Adjustment

When adjusting Configurations, click the Plus (Increase) or Minus (Decrease) button on the desired field about five times.

Click OK and do another test cut.

Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.

Deboss-Wide is the Wrong Size

Problem:

  • Deboss-Wide is the Wrong Size.

Resolution:

 Opening Adjustment Definition

The Opening Adjustment controls the size of the Opening cut or Object applied with non-blade cartridges.

If the Opening is cut Too Large, Decrease the Opening Adjustment.

If the Opening is cut Too Small, Increase the Opening Adjustment.

 How to Adjust the Opening Adjustment

When adjusting Configurations, click the Plus (Increase) or Minus (Decrease) button on the desired field about five times.

Click OK and do another test cut.

Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.

Deboss-Wide Applied at the Wrong Depth

Problem:

  • Deboss-Wide is applied at the Wrong Depth.

Resolution:

 Depth Setting Definition

The Depth Setting controls the Blade Depth for the Non-Blade Tools in the Configurations.

If the Non-Blade Tool is too Deep, Decrease the Depth Setting.

If the Non-Blade Tool is too Shallow, Increase the Depth Setting.

Deboss-Wide Cartridge Tears the Mat 

Problem:

  • Deboss-Wide Cartridge Tears the Mat.

Resolution:

  • Non-Blade Tool is Tearing in the Corners of the segments:

  • Non-Blade Tool is Pausing Too Long in the Corners of the segments:

 Corner Pause Definition

The Corner Pause setting in Configurations is the amount of time, in milliseconds, to pause the application of the Non-Blade Tools between segments.

The Non-Blade Tool is Tearing in the Corners of the segments, Increase the Corner Pause

The Non-Blade Tool is Pausing Too Long in the Corners of the segments, Decrease the Corner Pause.  

Deboss-Wide Lines are too Long

Problem:

  • Deboss-Wide Lines are Too Long.

Resolution:

 Overshoot Definition

The Overshoot controls how far past the end of the Line/Arc Segment to apply the Non-Blade Tool (Deboss, Pen or Vinyl).

This is similar to the Overcut used with the Blade cartridges.

If the Overshoot of the Non-Blade Tool is applied Too Long, Decrease the Overshoot.

If the Overshoot of the Non-Blade Tool is applied Too Short, Increase the Overshoot.

 How to Adjust the Overshoot

When adjusting Configurations, click the Plus (Increase) or Minus (Decrease) button on the desired field about five times.

Click OK and do another test cut.

Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.

Deboss-Wide Lines are too Short 

Problem:

  • Deboss-Wide Lines are Too Short.

Resolution:

 Overshoot Definition

The Overshoot controls how far past the end of the Line/Arc Segment to apply the Non-Blade Tool (Deboss, Pen or Vinyl).

If the Overshoot is applied too Long, Decrease the Overshoot.

Deboss-Wide Set to Plunge Between Segments

Problem:

  • Deboss-Wide Set to Plunge Between Segments.

Resolution:

  • Non-Blade Tool leaves a Dot where it plunges:

  • Non-Blade Tool takes Too Long to apply:

 Plunge Definition

The Plunge function controls whether to Plunge/Unplunge between the Line/Arc Segments of an object when applying a Non-Blade Tool.

The Non-Blade Tool leaves a Dot where it plunges, select Unplunge.

The Non-Blade Tool takes Too Long to apply, select Plunge.

 Troubleshooting Button Definition

The Troubleshooting Utility allows you to bring in a single opening and automatically selects the correct Cartridge tab and Bevel Type to configure.
