Change the Cut Order: Trace

  • Only objects matching the Bevel/Cartridge Type selection will be displayed.

  • The other Bevel/Cartridge Types of the design on the screen will be grayed out.

 Bevel Type Definition

The Bevel Type refers to the angle at which the blade cuts the surface of the matboard when it deviates from the 90° right angle cut.

 Cartridge Definition

A Cartridge is the physical component that holds the Blade, Deboss Stylus, Pen or other application tool.

  • Click on the specific object you want to edit.

  • Use the Order Cuts tab to change the Cut Order of a design.

    • You may want to do this if you are having problems with fallouts sliding behind the mat you are cutting.

    • Changing Cut Order and Changing Start Cut Points may resolve some of these issues.

 Fallout Definition

The Fallout is the part of the mat that is removed when a design is cut.

Typically, the Fallout is discarded, or saved for another project if large enough.

Sometimes the Fallout is considered as part of the design, such as the Dropouts on the inner portions of LetterMat letters.

The Bevel Type refers to the angle at which the blade cuts the surface of the matboard when it deviates from the 90° right angle cut.

Through Nesting, another design may be cut within the fallout.
