What to Expect When Updating to FrameShop 7x from MatDesigner

FrameShop 7x has an extensive list of new features that you will find useful along with some exciting changes.

Many features have been updated and made more easily accessible. Below is a list of new features to help you familiarize yourself with these new functions.

Note that some of these features might not be available for your CMC Model.

The Configurations Screen has been updated to include the new Cartridge Configurations.

The Configuration Screen now has a new access feature which allows users to click on a specific cut’s Backup/Overcut on the Cut Preview Screen and have it open directly to the appropriate field in the Configurations Screen, making troubleshooting much easier.

The Configurations Screen now contains access to the Circle/Oval Rotation Utility, which replaces the previous KwikKat. This allows you to edit several sizes of Circles/Ovals to get rid of Bumps/Feathers.

The Cut Preview Screen allows users to click on a specific cut’s Backup/Overcut and have it open directly to the appropriate field in the Configurations Screen, making troubleshooting much easier.

The Cut Preview Screen allows users to click and move designs into the desired locations.

The Cut Preview Screen allows users to copy and paste the current design where desired.

The Projects Tab allows you to load previously cut projects.

Many of the common buttons available are also reflected in the new Options menu for easy access.

The Design Editor allows you to select the desired SKU for each of the mats.

The Design Editor allows users to upload an image and Vectorize it into a cuttable design or one that can be Converted to CutArt in Trace to finish editing as desired.

The new FrameShop software now contains several new Templates.

The Browse Screen makes it easy to locate the desired saved design and element files.

You can Add a Location on the Browse screen to create shortcuts to the local directories on you computer to make it easy to access files from there.

Nesting has been updated to make it easier to Nest designs within each other.

Nesting now has an Auto-Nesting Capability.

The Trace Utility replaces the previous PathTrace feature. Trace has been greatly updated to include several new features.

The Drawing and Editing tools have been placed into one section, making drawing and editing much easier. We have also introduced several new features that you will find useful.

Trace allows users to upload an image and Vectorize it into a cuttable design or one that can be Converted to CutArt in Trace to finish editing as desired. The Trace Vectorization contains more adjustable parameters than the Vectorization in the Design Editor.

FrameShop also contains FrameShop Visualization software, which is the replacement of the Integrated Framer Software.

Visualize software allows the user to create a digitally finished product using the selected frames, matboards and the artwork. This makes it easy to present several different variations of the design for the customer to pick from. 

This add-on software will run in Demo mode within FrameShop but can be ordered to open up all of the features.

The Box Designs editor allows the user to create a custom box with only a few clicks. This is an add-on software which will run in Demo mode within FrameShop but can be ordered to open up all of the features.

The Box Designs is not available for all CMC models.
