What to Expect When Updating to FrameShop 7x from FrameShop 4x

Introduction
FrameShop 7x has an extensive list of new features that you will find useful along with some exciting changes.
The biggest change is that FrameShop has gone from a database-based system to a file-based system. This gives you easier access to files on your computer or other accessible drives. Instead of trying to navigate through a database to find the project you’re looking for, it will be as easy as opening the desired computer folder and selecting the design.
Below is a list of new features to help you familiarize yourself with these new functions.
Configurations Screen
The Configurations Screen has been updated to include the new 45° Front Cartridge Configurations.
The Configuration Screen now has a new access feature which allows users to click on a specific cut’s Backup/Overcut on the Cut Preview Screen and have it open directly to the appropriate field in the Configurations Screen, making troubleshooting much easier.
Cut Preview
The Cut Preview Screen allows users to click on a specific cut’s Backup/Overcut and have it open directly to the appropriate field in the Configurations Screen, making troubleshooting much easier.
The Cut Preview Screen allows users to click and move designs into the desired locations.
The Cut Preview Screen allows users to copy and paste the current design where desired.
The Recent Tab is now the Projects Tab, which allows you to load previously cut projects.
Many of the common buttons available are also reflected in the new Options menu for easy access.
Design Editor
The Design Editor allows users to upload an image and Vectorize it into a cuttable design or one that can be Converted to CutArt in Trace to finish editing as desired.
The new FrameShop software now contains several new Templates.
Saving/Loading Design Files
Files are now saved locally to your computer instead of to the database.
Because files are now saved locally to your computer, you will be loading them from the computer instead of from the database.
The Browse Screen has also been updated to make it easy to locate the desired files.
You can Add a Location on the Browse screen to create shortcuts to the local directories on you computer to make it easy to access files from there.
