Borders Properties

  • Use the Border Properties to edit the individual proprietary adjustments available for the Borders.

  • Click on a Green Border line and click on the Properties Tab. 

  • Optionally, Right-Click on the Green Border line and select Borders Properties.

  • Edit the individual proprietary adjustments available for the Borders.

  • For Additional Information: See Borders Toggle for information on toggling the Borders On or Off.

  • Default Settings:

  • See Admin > Editor for the default settings for the default Borders size and behavior.

  • See Admin > Editor for the default settings for the default setting for Even Borders.

  • See Admin > Editor for the default settings for the default setting to Lock Borders.

  • See Admin > Editor for the default settings for the default layer to apply the Borders.

  • See Admin > Defaults for the default settings for the Layer Direction.

 Borders Definition

The Border is the area of precisely definable width between the outside edge of a Mat and the edge of the Opening(s) in Designer, Nesting, and Visualization.

Borders Properties

  • Enter the desired value for each Border field.

  • Default Settings: See Admin > Editor for the default settings for the default Borders size and behavior.

Border Options

Even Borders

  • Check the Even Borders checkbox to apply the same value to all Four Borders when one value is changed.

  • Default Settings: See Admin > Editor for the default settings for the default setting for Even Borders.

  • Uncheck the Even Borders checkbox to edit each border entry individually.

  • The Even Borders setting does not affect resizing the borders with the mouse.

  • The Even Borders setting only affects the edit fields on the Borders Properties Tab.

  • Default Settings: See Admin > Editor for the default settings for the default setting for Even Borders.

Lock Borders

  • Check the Lock Borders checkbox.

  • The Border lines are locked and cannot be dragged or resized with the mouse. 

  • The Borders sizes can still be changed via the Borders Properties size fields.

  • Default Settings: See Admin > Editor for the default settings for the default setting to Lock Borders.

Unlock Borders

  • Uncheck the Lock Borders checkbox.

  • The Border lines are unlocked and can now be dragged or resized with the mouse.

  • Default Settings: See Admin > Editor for the default settings for the default setting to Lock Borders.

Apply Borders To

  • Select Top Layer to snap the Border lines to the Top layer.

  • Select Bottom Layer to snap the Border lines to the Bottom layer.

  • Select Bottom Layer to snap the object’s Bottom layer to the Borders.

  • Select Top Layer to snap the object’s Top layer to the Borders.

  • Default Settings:

  • See Admin > Editor for the default settings for the default layer to apply the Borders.

  • See Admin > Defaults for the default settings for the Layer Direction.

Borders and Dynamic Outsides Toggle

  • When using the Dynamic Outsides, the Apply Borders To controls which layer the Borders are applied to.

  • Borders set to Bottom Layer will resize the design to the Bottom layer when Dynamic Outsides is used.

  • Borders set to Top Layer will resize the design to the Top layer when Dynamic Outsides is used.

  • Default Settings:

  • See Admin > Editor for the default settings for the default Borders size and behavior.

  • See Admin > Defaults for the default settings for the Layer Direction.

 Dynamic Outsides Definition

The Dynamic Outsides feature adds the Border Size to the Bounding Rectangle of the current Group of Openings, adjusting the Outside Size as necessary in Designer and Visualize.

Apply Borders to Bottom Layer

  • Here the Borders are positioned from the Bottom Layer.

Apply Borders to Top Layer

  • Here the Borders are positioned from the Top Layer.
