Folded Flag Using the #310: Dutch Dome Template

  • These instructions will walk you through creating a folded flag opening using the #310: Dutch Dome Template.

  • Click New Mat Design on the FrameShop Main Page.

  • Click Cancel on the New Openings Screen.

  • On the Openings Tab, bring the template #310: Dutch Dome template onto the Editor.

  • Click on the Properties Tab to edit it.

  • Enter the desired size for the #310: Dutch Dome opening.

  • Click on Parameters.

  • Change the Chamfer to the desired angle.

  • Click on the Reveals tab.

  • Select the top layer and change it to use the 90° cartridge.

    • This layer represents our outside cut for this design.

  • Under Reveals tab, enter what you would like for the size of the borders.

  • Both of these layers will actually be cut onto the same layer.

    • The smaller triangle will be the opening, and the larger triangle will be the outside.

  • Save the design.

  • When you cut it, do not select to Cut the Outside.

  • Instead, cut the Opening then without moving the mat, cut the Outside Layer on top of it.
