Exterior Overcut

  • The Exterior Overcut controls where the Blade Retracts from the Matboard (not the Fallout) on the Exterior cuts.

The Exterior Overcut controls where the Blade Retracts from the Matboard (not the Fallout) on the Exterior cuts of Openings.

The Exterior Cut is where the Blade Plunges or Retracts from the Matboard (not the Fallout).  

If the Exterior Overcut is cut Too Long, Decrease the Exterior Overcut.

If the Exterior Overcut is cut Too Short, Increase the Exterior Overcut.

The Exterior Overcut field is marked with a Red Arrow on the Configuration screen and the Map illustration.

 Exterior Overcut of Drops Definition

The Exterior Overcut controls where the Blade Retracts from the Matboard (not the Fallout) on the Exterior cuts of Openings.

The Exterior Cut is where the Blade Plunges or Retracts from the Matboard (not the Fallout).  

If the Exterior Overcut is cut Too Long, Decrease the Exterior Overcut.

If the Exterior Overcut is cut Too Short, Increase the Exterior Overcut.

 V-Groove Exterior Overcut of V-Grooves Definition

The V-Groove Exterior Overcut controls where the Blade Retracts from the Matboard (not the Fallout) on the Exterior cuts of the Outside Cut of the Non-Oval V-Groove.

The Exterior Cut is where the Blade Plunges or Retracts from the Matboard (not the Fallout).  

If the Exterior Overcut on the Outside Cut of the V-Groove is cut Too Long, Decrease the Exterior Overcut.

If the Exterior Overcut on the Outside Cut of the V-Groove is cut Too Short, Increase the Exterior Overcut.

The V-Groove Exterior Overcut field is marked with a Red Arrow on the Configuration screen and the Map illustration.

 Overcut of Creases Definition

The Overcut controls where the cartridge Retracts from the Matboard.

  • If the Overcut is Too Long, Decrease the Exterior Overcut.

  • If the Overcut is Too Short, Increase the Exterior Overcut.

The Overcut field is marked with a Red Arrow on the Configuration screen and the Map illustration.

 How to Adjust the Exterior Overcut

When adjusting Configurations, click the Plus (Increase) or Minus (Decrease) button on the desired field about five times.

Click OK and do another test cut.

Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.
