Use Convert to CutArt to bring the selected objects into Trace to save as a CutArt.
Place the desired objects on the Editor.
Select the objects.
Right-Click on the selection and select Convert to CutArt.
The objects opens up in Trace.
Edit as desired and save as a CutArt which you can load into the Editor.
