Box Templates and Dimensions

  • Use the Box Dimensions section to select the Box Template and enter the size and thickness.

Box Thumbnail

  • A thumbnail of the current Box Template is displayed above the box template selection dropdown control.

  • Select the desired box template from the Box Template dropdown control.

  • The thumbnail for the selected box template is displayed.

Box Template

  • Select the desired box template from the Box Template dropdown control.

  • The parameters for the selected box template will display along with the box thumbnail

Box Dimensions

  • When the desired box template is selected, the fields pertinent for the selected template will be displayed.

  • Enter in the desired Sizes, such as Length, Width, Depth and Thickness of the box. 

  • The example box displayed here only has Width because it controls both the Width and Height because it is a square corner protector.

Box Depth

  • Enter the Depth of the box to be made in the Depth field.

Box Thickness

Enter the thickness for the material the box is being cut from in the Thickness field.

  • This field controls which Creasing Tool is used to create the creases when cutting the box: it uses either the Creasing Tool or the Deboss Tool.

  • The software will also calculate where the fold lines should be based on the thickness and the box template selected. 

  • Default Settings: See Admin > Editor for the default setting for the Box/Crease Cartridge.

Thickness: Deboss

  • It will use the Deboss cartridge to create fold lines when cutting thicknesses of 3/32” and below.

  • See: Deboss.

  • Default Settings: See Admin > Editor for the default setting for the Box/Crease Cartridge.

 Deboss Definition

The Deboss cartridge stylus presses onto the surface of the matboard to create a subtle design.

There are three Deboss stylus sizes: Wide, Medium, Thin.

In addition to Template Shapes, you can also Deboss CutArts, LetterMats and TTFs.

Thickness: Crease

  • It will use the Crease cartridge to create fold lines when cutting thicknesses of 1/8” and above.

  • See: Crease. 

  • Default Settings: See Admin > Editor for the default setting for the Box/Crease Cartridge.

 Crease Definition

The Crease Cartridge is used to apply Crease marks that are used to assist in folding the thicker finished Box.
