The backing board has been damaged and needs to be replaced. These instructions will walk through how to replace it.

Remove Current Backing Board

  • Loosen the three screws on the back of the backing board stabilizers.

  • Both the left stabilizer and the right one have a set of three screws.

  • Take care to only loosen them, not remove them.

  • Remove the current backing board.

  • It is held in place with double-sided tape.

Make Sure the AirGlide is Squared

If the AirGlide has not yet been squared, refer to the AirGlide Operations Manual for instructions on how to square it.

Pre-Fit Backing Board

  • Pre-fit the backing board into the AirGlide.

  • The board should slip in between the Horizontal Rail and the Backing Board Stabilizer.

  • Make sure that all edges of the backing board line up to the Gantry and the Horizontal Rail.

Reveal Adhesive on Tape

  • Gently pull the backing board away from the AirGlide frame.

  • Starting at the bottom, remove the paper covering the adhesive from the double-sided tape.

  • Once the paper covering has been removed, firmly push the backing board against the length of the gantry to secure the bond of the double-sided tape to hold the backing board in place.

Secure the Backing Board Stabilizers

  • Retighten the three screws on the each side of the back of the backing board stabilizers.

  • The backing board has been replaced.
