Crease Properties

 Crease Definition

The Crease cartridge is used when cutting a thicker box to apply crease marks that are used to assist in folding the finished product into the box shape - otherwise the Deboss cartridge is used.

  • Use Crease Properties to edit the individual proprietary adjustments available for Crease objects.

  • Optionally, Right-Click on the Crease and select Edit.

Crease Opening 

Use the Crease Opening section to add a label or select a different template.

Label

  • Enter a Label for the Crease opening.

  • The label will be displayed on the Crease opening. 

Change to Template  

Change the template with the Template Name and Number Button.

 Template Definition

Templates are specialized parametric shape generators within Wizard's FrameShop software.

  • Click Template Number and Number button.

  • The Template Library opens.

  • Select a different template from the Template Library.

  • The template will be updated to the new template.

  • Changing the Shape of the Crease is not available.

Set the Default to Auto Label Multi Openings

Set the default for Auto Label Multi Openings in the Admin > Editor section.

Set the Box Defaults in the Admin > Editor section.

Dimensions

Use the Dimensions Section to change the size, lock dimensions, set the X/Y positioning, or rotate the Crease object.

Dimensions

  • Enter the object Width

  • Enter the object Height

 Sizes Button Definition

The Sizes button displays the Recent and Standard sizes. 

 Swap Button Definition

The Swap button switches values between the width/height fields.

Set the Defaults for the Sizes Dropdown Control

 Default Settings for the Default Sizes Dropdown Control

Set the default for the Sizes dropdown control in the Admin > Defaults section.

Set the Defaults for the Outside and Opening Size

 Default Settings for the Default Outside and Opening Sizes

Set the default Outside and Opening Size in the Admin > Editor section.

Lock or Unlock Size

Lock the size of the object to avoid adjusting it when dragging the mouse.

  • Click unlock to Lock the size of the current object. 

  • Click locked to Unlock the size of the current object.

X and Y Position Fields

Use the X/Y fields to move objects to specific horizontal/vertical coordinates.

  • Enter the new X position to move the selected object horizontally.

  • Enter the new Y to move the selected object vertically.

 X Position Default

The X Position field is used to manually set the horizontal position of the selected template object. 

 Y Position Default

The Y Position field is used to manually set the vertical position of the selected template object.

Rotation Entry Field

  • Enter the desired degree of Rotation* for the selected object.

 Rotation Definition

Rotation is the action of rotating an object around an axis or center.

  • The selected object will pivot from the center point.  


Distance

Set the Distance between the Crease and the object it is Attach To

 Attached To Definition

Attached To will attach the non-blade cartridge or V-Groove to either one of the current openings, to the outside of the mat, or to nothing.

  • Select the Crease.

  • Select the opening or mat from the Attach To dropdown control. See Attach To below.

  • Enter the Distance to place the Crease from the object it is attached to.

  • The Crease will resize around the object by the distance entered.

  • Resizing the object the Crease is attached to will resize the Crease to remain the distance entered in the Distance field.

  • Offsetting the Crease from an object when initially placing the Crease does not automatically attach the Crease to that object.

  • If the Crease is not attached to anything, the Distance field is grayed out. 

  • Changing the Distance will readjust the distance the Crease is placed from the object it is attached to

  • Resizing the object the Crease is attached to will resize the Crease to remain the distance entered in the Distance field.

Attach To

Attach the Crease to an object.

  • Here the Crease is attached to an opening.

  • Here the Crease is attached to the mat.

Cartridge Selection and Type

Click the Cartridge Icon and select the desired cartridge for the current layer. 

 Cartridge Definition

A Cartridge is a component that contains a blade, stylus, pen or other apparatus that can be inserted into the head to perform a function, such as cutting, Debossing, Pen, etc.

  • Select the desired cartridge from the Cartridge Icon dropdown control.

  • Selecting a non-blade cartridge will change the Crease to that Cartridge type.

  • Example: Changing it from a Crease to a Deboss will make it a Deboss opening.

Cartridge Type

  • When applicable, select the desired Cartridge Type from the Type dropdown control. 

  • Selections available are dependent upon the Cartridge selected.
