Cartridges Involved

This Configuration element involves the following Cartridges.

Note: Not all cartridges are available for all CMC models.

Interior Backup Definition

 Interior Backup Definition

The Interior Backup controls where the blade plunges into the fallout on interior cuts.

  • To adjust, click plus/minus on the desired field about five times.

  • Click OK and do another test cut.

  • Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.

Select the Bevel Type for the Interior Backup to be Edited:

Interior Backup on Openings

Problem:

  • The Interior Backup on Openings is cutting too long or too short.

 Interior Backup Definition

The Interior Backup controls where the blade plunges into the fallout on interior cuts.

Resolution:

  • If the interior backup is too long, decrease the Interior Backup.

  • If the interior backup is too short, increase the Interior Backup.

  • Normal Bevel

  • Reverse Bevel

  • Normal Bevel-Front of Mat

  • Reverse Bevel-Front of Mat

Interior Backup on Drops  

Problem:

  • The Interior Backup for Drops is cutting too long or too short.

 Interior Backup Definition

The Interior Backup controls where the blade plunges into the fallout on interior cuts.

Resolution:

  • If the interior backup is too long, decrease the Interior Backup.

  • If the interior backup is too short, increase the Interior Backup.

  • Normal Drop

  • Reverse Drop

  • Normal Drop-Front of Mat

  • Reverse Drop-Front of Mat

Interior Backup on the Outside

Problem:

  • The Interior Backup for the Outside is cutting too long or too short.

 Interior Backup Definition

The Interior Backup controls where the blade plunges into the fallout on interior cuts.

Resolution:

  • If the interior backup is too long, decrease the Interior Backup.

  • If the interior backup is too short, increase the Interior Backup.

  • Outside

  • Outside-Front of Mat

Interior Backup on V-Grooves 

Problem:

  • The Interior Backup for V-Grooves is cut too long or too short.

 Interior Backup Definition

The V-Groove Interior Backup controls where the blade plunges into the fallout on interior cuts on the inside cut of the V-Groove.

Resolution:

  • If the interior backup is too long, decrease the Interior Backup.

  • If the interior backup is too short, increase the Interior Backup.
