Exterior Overcut Definition

  • The Exterior Overcut controls where the blade retracts from the matboard on the exterior cuts.

  • The Exterior Overcut cuts into the matboard, not the fallout.

  • The Exterior Overcut field is marked on the Configuration Screen with a Red Arrow.

Backup and Overcut Illustration

  • The Backups and Overcuts control where the blade specifically plunges in and retracts from the matboard or fallout when cutting objects.

  • The different bevel types, including whether it is being cut from the front or the back, will determine the direction the head travels as it cuts, and dictate whether the corner is a backup or an overcut.
