Cartridges Involved

This Configuration element involves the following Cartridges.

Note: Not all cartridges are available for all CMC models.

Rotation Definition on V-Grooves

The Rotation field controls how much the foot block will rotate before cutting. Because this is a V-Groove, you will be using either the Outside Rotation or the Inside Rotation, based on which V-Groove line you are editing.

  • The first cut is the interior V-Groove line.

  • The second cut is the exterior V-Groove line.

Adjust the Inside/Outside Rotation if you are getting Swoops or Flares in the corners on a non-oval opening.

  • Increase the Outside Rotation to turn the foot block clockwise to correct for a Swoop on the outside cut of the V-Groove.

  • Decrease the Outside Rotation to turn the foot block counterclockwise to correct for a Flare on the outside cut of the V-Groove.

  • Increase the Inside Rotation to turn the foot block clockwise to correct for a Swoop on the inside cut of the V-Groove.

  • Decrease the Inside Rotation to turn the foot block counterclockwise to correct for a Flare on the inside cut of the V-Groove.

V-Groove Outside has a Swoop

  • The beginning of the outside cut of the V-Groove Swoops toward the non-oval V-Groove opening.

  • Decrease the Outside Rotation.

  • The object will now cut correctly.

  • When making adjustments, click either the minus or plus button (-/+) at the end of the desired field about five or six times in the direction indicated.

  • Click OK and do a test cut.

  • Check the results of the cut and continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.

V-Groove Outside has a Flare

  • The beginning of the outside cut of the V-Groove Flares away from the non-oval V-Groove opening.

  • Increase the Outside Rotation value.
