MatDesigner Main Screen Menu Bar

Main Screen Menu Bar

The main screen allows you to adjust configurations, check corners, change defaults, edit a new design, load a saved design, or quit MatDesigner.

File

Listing of menu choices under File.

File > Edit New Design

Click Edit New Design to create a new design.

File > Load Saved Design

Click Load Saved Design to open a saved design.

File > Recently Saved Files

Click Recently Saved Files to access the last 10 saved designs to open; displays blank if nothing saved.

File > Exit

Click Exit to exit MatDesigner.

Options

Options > Application Defaults

Click Application Defaults to open the defaults screen to set up application default settings for MatDesigner.

Options > Configurations

Click Options > Configurations to open the configurations screen to make adjustments to how the CMC cuts.

These values are set at the factory, but can be adjusted by the end-user.

Because configuration changes are usually made while cutting, this is described under Cut Preview Tools in User Guide: Cut Preview.

Options > View License

Click View License to display the customer identification and license information.

This screen is also accessible from the license button on the cut preview.

Options > Reset the Motors

Click Reset the Motors to disengage power to the CMC motors. The head and gantry on the CMC move freely when the motors are disengaged.

Options > Activate License

Click Activate License to activate the MatDesigner software. The software may run in Demo version if not activated, and will not cut.

If the software has been activated, this option does not display.

Options > Launch Nesting

Click Launch Nesting to open the nesting application which allows openings to be placed within the fallouts of other openings to maximize matboard usage.

Options > Launch PathTrace

Click Launch PathTrace to open the PathTrace application which allows you to edit and create custom designs to cut on the CMC.

Options > Enter Product Key

Click Enter Product Key to open the product key application to enter a new product key.

About > About MatDesigner

Click About MatDesigner to view information about the MatDesigner software.

Main Screen Sections

The main screen is divided up into three sections.

New

This section allows the user to start a new project.

Find

This section allows the user to find previous projects.

Admin

This section allows the user access to various administrative parts of the software.
