The Flip function will Flip the selected objects Horizontally or Vertically in Trace.
In comparison, the Flip Design function will Flip the entire design Horizontally or Vertically in Trace.
Select the desired object(s).
Select the desired direction from the Flip button dropdown control.
Click the Flip button.
Here it is Flipped Horizontally.
Here it is Flipped Vertically.
Here it is Flipped Horizontally, and then Vertically.
Edit > Flip Design
