Take note that the Layer Direction of Bottom Up or Top Down controls how the mat layers are numbered in Trace.
The Top mat layer is always displayed at the top of the Layers list.
Layer direction Top Down counts down from the top mat.
In this example, the top mat is labeled Layer 1, and the next layer down is labeled Layer 2, and the bottom mat is Labeled as Layer 3.
Layer Direction: Bottom Up is the preferred direction.
When you Offset an object to create another layer, that new layer will be the Top layer.
Layer Direction: Top Down is not recommended.
When you Offset an object to create another layer, that new layer will be the Bottom layer, even though it is larger than the original object.
