  • The Exterior Backup controls where the Blade Plunges into the Matboard (not the Fallout) on the Exterior Cuts of objects. The initial plunge position is determined by the bevel type.

The Exterior Backup controls where the Blade Plunges into the Matboard (not the Fallout) on the Exterior Cuts of objects. The initial plunge position is determined by the bevel type.

The Exterior Cut is where the Blade Plunges or Retracts from the Matboard (not the Fallout).  

If the Exterior Backup is leaving a Hook in the corner, Increase the Exterior Backup.

If the Exterior Backup is cut Too Long, Decrease the Exterior Backup.

If the Exterior Backup is cut Too Short, Increase the Exterior Backup.

The Exterior Backup field is marked with a Green Arrow on the Configuration screen and the Map illustration.

If the Exterior Backup is cut Too Long, Decrease the Exterior Backup.

The V-Groove Exterior Backup controls where the Blade Plunges into the Matboard (not the Fallout) on the Exterior cuts of the Outside Cut of the V-Groove.

If the Exterior Backup on the Outside Cut of the V-Groove is cut Too Long, Decrease the Exterior Backup.

If the Exterior Backup on the Outside Cut of the V-Groove is cut Too Short, Increase the Exterior Backup.

The Backup controls where the cartridge Plunges into the Matboard

If the Backup is Too Long, Decrease the Exterior Backup.

If the Backup is Too Short, Increase the Exterior Backup.

 How to Adjust the Backup

When adjusting Configurations, click the Plus (Increase) or Minus (Decrease) button on the desired field about five times.

Click OK and do another test cut.

Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.
