How to Make a Top/Bottom Rounded Corner #301 Design

  • This will walk you through using two #301: Archway designs and merging them together to create a single design.

  • Click New Mat Design on the FrameShop Main Page.

  • Click Cancel on the New Openings Screen.

  • On the Openings Tab, bring two template #301: Archways onto the Editor.

  • Click on the Properties Tab to edit it.

  • Enter the desired size for the #301: Archway openings.

    • Remember that we are going to merge the two halves together so keep that in mind when sizing the design.

  • Click on the Bottom #301: Archway opening.

  • In the Rotation field, enter 180 for the degree of Rotation.

  • The #301: Archway will be rotated upside down.

  • Move the #301: Archway into the desired position, overlapping the edges to the other #301: Archway.

  • Make sure that both layers of the designs overlap.

    • If needed, go back and adjust the size of the openings and try overlapping again.

  • Select both openings and click the Group Selection button.

  • The two openings should merge where they overlapped.

  • If you need to make an adjustment to the design, click the Group Selection button to unmerge them, then click on the background to unselect them.

  • Re-edit as desired and then regroup them again.

  • The edited #301: Archway is now completed.

  • NOTE: You can repeat this process to merge any two templates together in any configuration as long as they share the same Bevel Type.
