  • The Fragments field displays the number of Fragments in the current design.

 Fragment Definition

A Fragment is an object in Trace that is not enclosed, such as a series of LinesArcsCurves, or if the design has been Exploded.

  • This two layered heart was Exploded, so it now contains Fragments

  • Once the fragments are Reconnected, it would end up being two circuits; one for each layer.

 Explode Definition

The Explode button will break up the Selected Object into the individual segments that make up the object in Trace.

The Explode All button will break All Objects into their individual segments that make up the object in Trace.

For example, a Rectangle will be broken up into Four Individual Lines which can be edited separately.
