Problem/Purpose:

The screw that holds the Glide to the bottom of the Footblock has become loose, and is leaving scratches and indents on the surface of the matboard.

Adjusting the Glide Screw

The purpose of the Footblock Glide is to float over the matboard. The screw that holds the Glide into position should not protrude beyond the face of the Glide, nor should it be over tightened (tight to the point that it does not allow movement of the Glide). If the Glide is not allowed to float, it can mar or scrape the mat and wear unevenly. If the Glide wears unevenly, there could be damage to the mat face when cutting a V-Groove.

  • Click Reset Motors button to turn off power to the motors.

  • Remove the Blade and Blade Cartridge.

  • Move the Head to the right side of the Board, until the Footblock is off of the Board.

  • Locate the Glide Screw under the Footblock.

  • Tighten this screw fully, then turn back a turn-and-a-half.

  • Return the Head to the home position and do a test cut.

  • Readjust if necessary.
