Click Edit > Select None (Ctrl+N) to unselect all of the objects on the Editor.
All of these objects are currently selected.
Select Edit > None (Ctrl+N).
Now none of the objects are selected.
Optionally, you can click on the Mat background to unselect the currently selected objects.
