Exterior Overcut Crease Definition

The Exterior

Overcut

 is where the cut continues into the corner before retracting the blade from the matboard on the exterior cuts, such as when cutting a rectangle. 
  • Exterior Cuts cut into the matboard, not the fallout.

  • The Exterior Overcut field is marked with a Red Arrow.

    Make sure to select the Crease Cartridge Tab before making adjustments.

    • The Exterior Overcut is displayed on the Configuration Map and on the associated field as a red arrow.

    Crease Exterior Overcut Too Long

    • This is viewed from the front of the mat.

    • If the Exterior Overcut retracts the cartridge too late, it makes the exterior overcut too long.

    • Decrease the Exterior Overcut.

    • The corners will now meet up properly.

    • When making adjustments, click either the minus or plus button (-/+) at the end of the desired field about five or six times in the direction indicated.

    • Click OK and do a test cut.

    • Check the results of the cut and continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.
