• Exterior Backup cuts Too Long.

• Exterior Backup cuts Too Long:

  • Decrease the Exterior Backup.

The Exterior Backup controls where the Blade Plunges into the Matboard (not the Fallout) on the Exterior cut. 

The Exterior Backup field is marked with a Green Arrow on the Configuration screen and the Map illustration.

If the Exterior Backup is cut too Short, it can leave a Hook in the corner.

If the Exterior Backup is cut too Long, Decrease the Exterior Backup.

If the Exterior Backup is cut too Short, Increase the Exterior Backup.

  • Increase the Exterior Backup.

• To adjust, click Plus/Minus on the desired field about five times.

• Click OK and do another test cut.

• Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.

The different Bevel Types, including whether it is cutting from the front or the back of the mat, will determine the direction the head travels as it cuts, and dictates whether the corner is a backup or an overcut.
