The Exterior Backup controls where the Blade Plunges into the Matboard (not the Fallout) on the Exterior cut.
The Exterior Backup field is marked with a Green Arrow on the Configuration screen and the Map illustration.
If the Exterior Backup is cut too Short, it can leave a Hook in the corner.

Resolution:
If the Exterior Backup is cut too Long, Decrease the Exterior Backup.

Current Drop Bevel Type
Select the desired Cartridge Tab.
Select the bevel type from the Current Bevel Type dropdown control.
Select Current Bevel Type-Front of Mat if it is being cut from the front of the mat.

The different Bevel Types, including whether it is cutting from the front or the back of the mat, will determine the direction the head travels as it cuts, and dictates whether the corner is a backup or an overcut. |
