titleTrue Type Font Definition

The True Type Font (TTF) is an additional source of fonts, separate from LetterMats, that can be loaded into Designer to Cut, Deboss, or Pen.

The True Type Font (TTF) format was created to work between both Apple (Mac) and Microsoft (Windows) and could be deciphered by most printers by default. The TTFs contain the mathematical outlines of each character in the font.

The True Type Fonts are located in the /Windows/Fonts directory.

Note: TTFs have not been tested by Wizard and results may vary. Feel free to experiment.

Kerning and Tracking 

Kerning

  • Increase the Kerning to add more space between letters.

  • Decrease the Kerning to reduce the space between letters.

Tip

  • Default Settings: See Admin > Editor for the default Kerning size setting for TTFs.

Tracking 

  • Increase the Tracking to increase the overall spacing of the TTF.

  • Decrease the Tracking to reduce the overall spacing of the TTF.

The LetterMat™ fonts are specialized fonts designed specifically for the Wizard FrameShop software.

Single Line Fonts: The letters are formed with Single Lines, not drawn as the outlines of shapes. Single line fonts can only be Debossed or drawn with the Pen.

Outline Fonts: The Outline fonts display the shapes of the letters as outlines with only a slight distinction between the thin and thick strokes. These fonts can be Debossed, Penned or Cut.

  • Click Explode Font on the Advanced tab to break it up into the individual letters.

  • Optionally, Right-Click on the TTF and select Explode Font.

    • While similar to LetterMats, TTFs do not offer all of the same property options of a LetterMat. 

Text 

  • Enter the desired text for the TTF in the Text field.

TTF Font Name

  • Select the desired TTF font from the Font Name dropdown control. 

  • Click Font Name dropdown control.

  • Select the desired font for the TTF.

    • LetterMats are displayed at the top of the Font list.

    • TTF are displayed at the bottom of the Font list.

  • When possible, the names of the Fonts are displayed in their typestyle. 

  • TTFs are located in the /Windows/Fonts directory, so the listing is limited by the fonts currently installed on your computer.  

  • You can install more TTFs to the /Windows/Fonts directory.

  • Select the Text Size tab to enter dimensions based on the full text Bounding Rectangle.

  • Enter the TTF overall Width. 

  • Enter the TTF overall Height.

  • Lock the size of the object to avoid adjusting it when dragging the mouse.

  • Click Unlock to Lock the size of the current object.
