The VinylCartridgeuses a special blade to cut the Vinyl which has been temporarily adhered to the matboard to create the design. The Vinyl cartridge is black and is labeled in the software with a thin Vinyl iconBlade Icon.

Make sure the Head and Footblock are already in the Aligned position. Click the Align the Head button if necessary. Push blade cartridge release down to eject the current blade cartridge.

Turn Vinyl cartridge over and reinsert into the head with the notch on the back of the cartridge facing the head, until it clicks into place. It can only be inserted one way. The Blade Depth Knob on the Head fine-tunes the blade depth. Start with a Blade Depth of 7-10 and do a test cut to find the optimum blade depth for this Vinyl material.
