Deboss

Debossing leaves an indent into the matboard for a subtle design accent.

NOTE: Make sure that the opening (from front) is cutting correctly before adjusting the Debossing.

Load and Cut Test Mat

Have MatDesigner open on main screen.

Click on DB Test Mats folder.

Click on the desired deboss test mat.

For the wide deboss, load DB Wide Test Mat.WZX.

For the medium deboss, load DB Medium Test Mat.WZX.

For the thin deboss, load DB Thin Test Mat.WZX.

Click Cut to take the configuration mat to the cut preview.

Cut the mat from the front of the mat with the cartridges prompted.

Mark an X in lower left corner of mat and opening on the cutting side before removing from CMC.

Look at the debossed design. Is there any tearing of the surface of the matboard? Is the deboss unevenly spaced around the opening? Do any of the debossed lines travel too far?
