Check Software Measurements

Info
  • Check the software measurements to make sure that images taken with the camera are displayed at the correct scale, so that art, mats and frame moulding will display proportionally correct.

  • Open the FrameShop software and click on Visualize.

Tip
  • Place a measuring tape on the design table.

  • Click the Take Picture button on the Images tab.

  • If there is more than one device available, select the desired camera from the dropdown control on the Camera Capture Screen.

  • A photo of the measuring tape is displayed.

  • Click the Set New Scale button.

  • Draw a box Horizontally along the Ruler; take as long of a measurement as possible as this improves the software's measurements.

  • A screen opens requesting the Width Measurement.

  • Enter the specific width that was measured within this box.

  • Click OK

Calibration Complete

Info
  • The Camera is now Calibrated and will remain calibrated as long as the camera is not physically moved.

  • If the Camera or Camera Mount is moved, the entire procedure must be repeated.

  • When saving a project to the database or to a file, the Scale Setting is saved with the project.

  • Thus, if using different zoom points and recalling a project from storage may require the Scale to be set again for the next new project started.

  • For Fixed Zoom, the software only remembers One Scale Value and that value will be changed when loading a prior project from storage.
