These instructions will show you how to create an Inverted Corner Design. This design gives the appearance that the corners of each layer have folded inside-out into the design. Traditionally, a design like this would require a specialized Template or editing it in Trace. Now with the introduction of the #112: Ornamental template and the existing #106: Mixed template, you can now make this with a few simple clicks.

Click New Mat Design on the FrameShop Main Page. Click Cancel on the New Openings Screen. On the Openings Tab, bring the template #112: Ornamental or the #106: Mixed onto the Editor.

Under Number of Layers, set the desired number of layers. For this example, we used 5 Layers.

The Inverted Corner design is done. From here, you can click on Parameters and adjust them as desired.

Here are a small sample of different Inverted Corner designs along with what Templates were used to create them. Feel free to mix up the Templates selected; it doesn’t have to be the same Template selected within the design. Feel free to mix up the Parameter settings. The same setting doesn’t have to be used on each layer.
