Align the Head on the CMC Z (9000z)

  • Click the Align the Head button to Align the Head into the cutting position and power up the motors in preparation of cutting a mat.

Align the Head Button vs. the Cut Button

  • Optionally, if you click the Cut button when the motors are disengaged, it will prompt you to Align the Head.

  • After the Head is Aligned, itwill then Cut the mat.

Aligning the Head on the CMC Z (9000z)

  • The If any of the Clamps are in the way, the Cut Preview highlights in red Red any clamps that are in the way of the current cut sequence . These are the ones that will and need to be rotated out of the way before you cut the mat.

  • When you click Cut, you will get a message displaying which clamps should be rotatedThe CMC will do an Interference Check to see if any of the clamps are in the way of the current cut sequence.

  • Rotate the indicated clamps as described below and click Continue.

  • Push To rotate the Clamp out of the way, push the indicated clamp toward the board Board to release the pressure.

  • Rotate the indicated clamps Clamps so that they are facing away from the center of the boardBoard.

  • When the clamps Clamps are engaged, they will be retracted flush with the boardBoard.

  • For the next cutting job, the clamps Clamps should be rotated back toward the center of the board Board to hold down the next mat.

  • Rotate the foot block Foot Block into the 12 O’Clock position. 

  • Holding it about an inch above the bottom rail, slide the gantry Gantry and the head Head assembly to the left edge of the CMC until it stops. 

  • It will stop against the Magnetic Stop.

  • Then slide the head Head down until the footblock Foot Block rests against the Head Alignment Stop.

  • Click the Align the Head button or the Cut button to finish the Align the Head sequence.

  • On the Alignment screen, make sure that the Pen, Vinyl and Creasing tools are not in the footblock Foot Block.

  • Click Continue on the Alignment screen.

  • Head will align to the home Home position.

  • If you clicked the Align the Head button, the CMC is now aligned Aligned and ready to cut.

  • If you clicked the Cut button, the CMC will now begin to cut the mat.

Use the Disengage button to cut the power to the motors of the cutting

head

Head.

  • Click the Disengage button to disengage power to the motors of the cutting Head on the CMC. 

  • User will be prompted to Click OK to release the motors.

  • Grasp the Head and then Click OK

  • The motors will be disengaged and the Head will drop. When the motors are disengaged, the Head and the Gantry can be moved freely by hand.

  • The head Head will need to be Aligned again before the next mat is cut.

Click the Reset Motors Head Button to Disengage Power to the Motors
