Cartridges Involved

This Configuration element involves the following Cartridges.

title	Exterior Backup Definition

The Exterior Backup controls where the blade plunges into the matboard on exterior cuts.

Select the desired Cartridge Tab.
Select the bevel type from the Current Bevel Type dropdown control.
Select Current Bevel Type-Front of Mat if it is being cut from the front of the mat.

The different Bevel Types, including whether it is cutting from the front or the back of the mat, will determine the direction the head travels as it cuts, and dictates whether the corner is a backup or an overcut.

The Exterior Backup is displayed on the Configuration Map and on the associated field as a green arrow.

To adjust, click plus/minus on the field about five times. Click OK and do another test cut. Continue making adjustments until the desired outcome is achieved.
