Take Picture

Click the Take Picture button to open the Camera Capture screen where you can take a picture from a camera or twain device attached to your computer.

Use Color Profile 

Color profiles are only available for cameras without an auto white balance, such as the Wink camera. If your camera automatically adjusts the white balance this feature is unnecessary.

If you are using a Wink Camera, select the Wizard Wink Camera checkbox in the Administrator > Editor section to display the Wink camera settings.

Wink Camera Manual Settings 

These are the manual settings available for the Wink camera. If a setting is not available for the current camera, it will be grayed out.

Brightness

Move the Brightness slider to the right to make the image brighter. Move the Brightness slider to the left to make the image darker.

Contrast

Contrast is the difference in brightness between the light and dark areas of the picture. Move the Contrast slider to the right to increase the contrast. Move the Contrast slider to the left to decrease the contrast.

Saturation

Saturation is the vividness of a color’s hue. Saturation measures the degree to which a color differs from a gray of the same darkness or lightness. Move the Saturation slider to the right to increase the saturation (brighter colors). Move the Saturation slider to the left to decrease the saturation (more black and white and lesser colors).

Gamma

Gamma is the numerical value of the slope of the characteristic curve of a photographic emulsion; a measure of the contrast reproduced in a photographic image. Move the Gamma slider to the right to increase the gamma. Move the Gamma slider to the left to decrease the gamma.

White Balance - Wizard

White balance refers to the adjustment of the relative amounts of red, green, and blue primary colors in an image such that neutral colors are reproduced correctly. Move the White Balance slider to the right to increase the white balance. Move the White Balance slider to the left to decrease the white balance.

Exposure

Exposure is the amount of radiant energy needed to expose a photographic film. Move the Exposure slider to the right to increase the exposure. Move the Exposure slider to the left to decrease the exposure.

Set the Default Setting for the Wink Camera

Select Wizard Wink Camera in the Admin > Editor section to display the Wink Camera Settings within Visualization.

Take Picture

Click the Take Picture button to take the picture with the current camera and selected settings. 

The image is displayed in the Visualize Editor screen.

Set the Defaults for the Camera

The default settings for the Camera can be set in the Admin > Editor section.
