Matboard Properties Click on the Matboard (not on an object). Click on the Properties Tab. Edit the individual proprietary adjustments available for the matboard. Optionally, Right-Click on the matboard and select Edit Mat to open the Matboard Properties. |
Dimensions | |

Use the dimension section to edit the matboard size. | |
Width Enter the matboard Width dimension. Enter the matboard Height dimension. Sizes Button The Sizes button displays a list of Recent and Standard sizes. Swap Button The Swap button switches the values between the width and height fields. |
Set the Default Size for the Outside and Opening Size | |

Design | |

The Design section controls the details regarding the outside of the matboard. | |
Cut the Outside Select the Cut the Outside checkbox to cut the outside of the mat. When Cut the Outside is selected, the matboard displays as a solid color. | |
Not Cutting the Outside Unselect the Cut the Outside checkbox to not cut the outside of the mat. Unchecking Cut the Outside displays the 1.5 inch (3.8cm) uncuttable region in a checkerboard pattern. The uncuttable region is the portion of the matboard that is placed into the CMC rails when cutting. Do not place any objects in the uncuttable region unless you select to Cut the Outside, or use a Rail Dodge. NOTE: Because of the zero waste clamping system on the Z1 and 9000z, the Z1 and 9000z will not display an uncuttable region unless the matboard dimensions entered are larger than the machine can physically cut. |

The Uncuttable Region on Designs That are Too Big | |

If a design is too big to cut, the uncuttable region is displayed as a checkerboard pattern. See CMC Model Cutting Information for more information. |
Add Float Layer | |
---|---|
Add Float Layer A Float Layer is a designated bottom layer that contains no openings. This Float Layer can be used to adhere three-dimensional objects. This layer will not cut unless Cut the Outside is selected. Select the Add Float Layer checkbox. The Float Layer is added. | |
No Float Layer Unselect the Add Float Layer checkbox. No Float Layer is added. |
Oval Outside | |
---|---|
Selecting the Oval Outside checkbox will cut the outside of the mat as an oval. The area beyond the oval boundary is displayed in lighter contrasting color. Selecting Oval Outside automatically selects Cut the Outside. Click the Oval Outside checkbox. The outside of the mat will cut as an oval. |
Rectangle Outside | |

Uncheck the Oval Outside checkbox. The outside of the mat will cut as a rectangle. |
Frames and Fillets | |
---|---|
Enter the number of frames in the Number of Frames field. Enter the specific frame SKU number for each frame in the SKU Numbers field. Optionally, click on the SKU Search (magnifying glass) button to open the Frames Fillets and Ready Mades search screen to locate the desired SKU. If the SKU selected has a thumbnail associated with it, the frame/fillet is displayed around the mat design. Otherwise if no thumbnail is available, a gray placeholder the thickness of the moulding is displayed around the matboard. |
Mats and Fillets | |

Enter the number of mats in the Number of Mats field. Enter the specific mat SKU number for each mat layer in the SKU Numbers field. Optionally, click on the SKU Search button (magnifying glass) to open the Mats and Fillets search screen to locate the desired SKU. If the SKU selected has a thumbnail associated with it, the matboard texture and/or color is displayed on the mat design. If no thumbnail is available, a checkerboard pattern is displayed. |
Change Frame or Mat Layer Order | |
---|---|
To change the layer order of the currently selected SKUs in either the frame or mat section: Click and hold the mouse on the desired Frame or Mat SKU field. Drag it up or down to switch places with the adjacent SKU field. The cursor will display a small arrow and rectangle as you move the fields. The SKUs entered will change places. |
Additional Info | |

Add any desired information you wish to save with the project in the Additional Info field. These notes will be displayed on the Additional Info pane on the Cutting Preview screen and on the Browse screen under Notes. |
