New Guide a Specified Distance From an Object: Alignment Tab

  • Select the desired object.

  • Select New Guide.

  • Select New Guide From Other.

  • Select the Direction checkbox for the Guide.

  • Enter the Distance from the opening to place the Guide.

  • Click OK.

  • The Positioning Toggle determines whether the Guide is placed on the top or bottom layer of the opening.

  • Several Guides can be placed at the same time with this screen.

  • Negative numbers can be entered to place a Guide within the opening.

  • The Guide is placed.

  • Openings can be moved and snapped to the Guide line.
