Cartridges Involved

This Configuration element involves the following Cartridges.

Note: Not all cartridges are available for all CMC models.

Tool Configs Section

The Tool Configs on the Configurations Screen displays the global settings for the bevel cartridge tabs. 

Horizontal 

Problem:

  • The opening/object is cut in the wrong place Horizontally.

 Horizontal Home Definition

The Horizontal Home controls where the opening is cut Horizontally.

Resolution:

  • If too far left, increase the Horizontal Home.

  • If too far right, decrease the Horizontal Home.

Vertical 

Problem:

  • The opening/object is cut in the wrong place Vertically.

 Vertical Home Definition

The Vertical Home controls specifically where the opening is cut Vertically.

Resolution:

  • If too far down, increase the Vertical Home.

  • If too far up, decrease the Vertical Home.

Depth Bias 

Problem:

  • The opening/object is cut at the wrong depth when a SKU has been selected.

 Depth Bias Definition

The Depth Bias calculates the proper Blade Depth when a SKU is selected for the matboard.

Resolution:

  • Cut too shallow, increase the Depth Bias.

  • Cut too deep, decrease the Depth Bias.

Plunge Count 

Problem:

  • The opening/object does not pause for a blade change while cutting.

 Plunge Count Definition

The Plunge Count controls the number of plunges for the individual blade cartridges to pause for a Blade Change.

Resolution:

  • If cuts too long before pausing, decrease the Plunge Count.

  • If cuts too short before pausing, increase the Plunge Count.

Circle/Oval Rotation Button

Problem:

  • The Circle/Oval cuts with a Feather/Bump.

 Feather Definition

The oval cuts with a Feather of material left into the opening.

 Bump Definition

The oval cuts with a Bump of material left into the opening.

Resolution:

  • If cuts with a Feather, decrease the Oval Rotation.

  • If it cuts with a Bump, increase the Oval Rotation.
