Load File Image

These instructions show how to load a file image into the software.

Click the Load File Image button to load an image from a file.

The Open File screen opens.

Click on the desired image file.

Click Open to open the image. The file is opened into the Editor.

Pixels Per Unit

If the image file loaded is a different size than the last file loaded, it will ask you to set the scale using Pixels per the current unit of measurement for the image. If you are using inches, it will be Pixels per Inch.

Enter the number of Pixels per Inch and click OK.

Optionally, click the Set as Default checkbox to set this size as the default size.

How to Calculate PPI2 or Pixels per Square Inch.

Multiply PPI × PPI to get pixels per square inch. The number of pixels in a square inch represents the resolution or pixel density of an area of one square inch. Substitute 1 cm for 1 inch to find pixels per square centimeter or PPcm2.
