How to Place a Deboss on a Lower Layer

  • Traditionally, a Deboss is always placed on the top layer.

  • Now with the introduction of the #112: Ornamental template, you can now place a Deboss on a lower layer.

  • Click New Mat Design on the FrameShop Main Page.

  • Click Cancel on the New Openings Screen.

  • On the Openings Tab, bring the template #112: Ornamental onto the Editor.

  • Click on the Properties Tab to edit it.

  • Click on the Properties Tab.

  • Enter the desired size for the Ornamental opening and any other adjustments you wish to make.

  • Under Number of Layers, set the desired number of layers.

  • For this example, we used 5 Layers.

  • We are going to place the Deboss in the middle layer, but first we’re going to give it some space.

  • Change the Reveal for Layer 3 and 4 to .4375.

  • Now we’re going to change Layer 3 to a Deboss.

  • Click on the Cartridge Type button and select the Deboss.

  • Click on the Cartridge Type button and select the desired Deboss cartridge.

    • Choices are Wide, Medium and Thin.

  • Layer 3 is now a Deboss.

  • Note also that you can select different templates for each layer as you can with the Mixed template.
