MatDesigner New Openings Screen: Array

Click Mat Design from New section of the main screen.

Click on the Array tab.

Blank Mat using Default Outside Dimensions

To start with a blank mat using the default outside size, click Cancel.

OR

Go to defaults and select Skip New Openings under editor: new openings screen.

Hint: Alternately, enter desired outside dimension and click OK.

Opening Size

Enter the width/height of the opening.

  • Click Sizes to select recent or standard sizes.

  • Click Swap to switch numbers between width/height.

The opening size is displayed.

Layout

Number of Openings

Enter number of openings desired.

Number of Columns

Enter number of columns to place the openings.

Number of Rows

Enter number of rows to place the openings.

The layout will be adjusted.

Spacing

Enter the horizontal and vertical spacing between openings.

The spacing will be adjusted.

Select Template

Click on template thumbnail under template design.

The Template Library opens.

Click on new template thumbnail to select it.

The new template is displayed.

Layers

Enter number of layers, with the maximum of six layers.

Enter the reveal amount for each layer.

Cartridge Selection

Click on the cartridge icon and select the desired cartridge for this layer.

The default cartridge is the 45° cartridge.

Click RB (Reverse Bevel) checkbox to make the layer a reverse bevel.

NOTE: Cartridges not currently available will be greyed out.

The Editor

Click OK on the new openings screen to bring design to the editor.

The work space displays from front of the mat.

New Outside Size

Click OK on the new openings screen to bring design to the editor.

If the openings/spacings are larger than the default outside size, the new outside size screen will pop up.

Select Dynamic Outside to add the default border size to the openings for a new outside size.

OR manually enter in a new outside size.

Click OK to continue to the editor.
