How to Mirror an Entire Design

  • You’ve created your design and would like to make a mirrored version of it.

  • Save the design.

  • Select all of the Objects and Right-Click on the selection.

  • Select Convert to CutArt.

  • It will be loaded into Trace.

  • We are not making any edits to the design, just save it under a different file format.

  • Click File > Save As.

  • Make sure that the CutArt directory is selected.

  • Make sure that the CutArt filetype is selected.

  • Give it a filename and click Save.

  • Close Trace.

  • Start a new Designer design.

  • On the Openings Tab click Add CutArt.

  • In the Wizard/CutArt directory, locate your CutArt and click Design.

  • With the CutArt selected, click on the Properties Tab.

  • Click Mirror the CutArt.

  • The CutArt is now mirrored.

  • You now have a CutArt that you can cut Mirrored or Unmirrored.

  • You also have your original design which can be altered as needed.

    • Just repeat the process above to make a new mirrored version.
