Add CutArt

Click Add CutArt Opening button on the openings tab.

Double-click on desired directory to open it.

Click on desired CutArt file.

CutArt is previewed on preview panel.

Optionally, type in CutArt file name in file name field at bottom of the screen.

Optionally, click Default CutArt Folder button to open the /Wizard/CutArt folder.

Click OK to place the CutArt on the work space.

Finding CutArt Files

CutArt Index

On the editor, click Help, then Software Manuals, then CutArt Index.

Stock CutArt index opens.

Search by clicking Edit > Search and typing the desired name. 

CutArt Library

On the editor, click Help, then Software Manuals, then CutArt Library.

Stock CutArt library opens.

Search by clicking Edit > Search and typing the desired name.

Printing out the CutArt Library

On the editor, click Help, then Software Manuals, then CutArt Library.

CutArt library opens.

Click File > Print to print out the library.

Assigning Shortcut to CutArt

Click Add CutArt Opening button on the openings tab.

Load CutArt screen opens.

Click desired CutArt.

CutArt is previewed on preview panel.

Click on an arrow under shortcuts to assign CutArt to the shortcut slot.

Clear a CutArt Shortcut

Assign a new CutArt to the slot.

OR

Right-click on shortcut and click Yes to clear shortcut.

Use a CutArt Shortcut

Click on the desired shortcut and click OK.
CutArt is loaded to work space.

Edit CutArt

Click the Properties tab with the CutArt selected.

CutArt Opening

Name: Displays filename of current CutArt.

Label: Enter a desired label for this CutArt.

Change CutArt: Click Change CutArt to select a different CutArt.

CutArt is saved with a mat as a link to the location of the CutArt; the CutArt is not actually saved with the mat. Therefore, when taking the saved mat to another computer, make sure the CutArt is located in the same directory as the first computer, or the saved mat will not be able to display/cut the CutArt.
If the CutArt does not display, click on the CutArt placeholder (rectangle with the CutArt name), then Click on Change CutArt button and locate the current location of the CutArt.

Click Ok to confirm.

Dimensions

Width/Height: Change width/height of the CutArt.

  • Click Sizes to select recent or standard sizes.

  • Click Swap to switch numbers between width/height.

Options

Mirror the CutArt: Select Mirror the CutArt to flip the CutArt horizontally.

Keep Aspect Ratio: Select Keep Aspect Ratio to maintain the CutArt aspect ratio when resized.

Unselect Keep Aspect Ratio to change height/width independently.

Use Original Size: Click Use Original Size to reset selected CutArt to the default size it was drawn (usually the smallest size tested).

NOTE: CutArt is usually placed on the work space at the original size.

Cartridge Selection: Click on the Cartridge Selection button and select the desired Cartridge for this CutArt from the dropdown control.

Default Cartridge is the 45° normal bevel Cartridge.
If a Cartridge is not licensed, it will be disabled.

Type: Select the desired bevel type from the dropdown control.

  • Normal Bevel: Cut the object as a normal bevel.

  • Reverse Bevel: Cut the object as a reverse bevel.

  • V-Groove: Cut the object as a V-Groove.

  • Drop: Select drop to use the fallout of the object.

  • Two Layers: Select two layers to cut the drop openings of the object on the bottom layer and the rest of the object on the top layer.
