Alignment Buttons

  • Use the Alignment buttons to arrange the position of objects in relation to the mat or to the bounding rectangle of selected objects.

 Bounding Rectangle Definition

The Bounding Rectangle is a dotted or invisible rectangle that encompasses the outermost boundaries of the Selected object(s) in Designer and Trace.

Centering Buttons

  • The first row of Alignment Buttons are the Centering buttons, which align the opening to the Center of the Mat

  • If several objects are selected, they are centered as a locked group.

  • Center Openings Horizontally to Mat

  • Center Openings Horizontally and Vertically to Mat

  • Center Openings Vertically to Mat

Center Openings Horizontally to Mat 

  • Center Openings Horizontally to Mat aligns the objects Horizontally to the Center of the Mat.

  • Select the desired object(s).

  • Click Center Openings Horizontally to Mat.

  • The object is centered to the mat horizontally.

Center Openings Horizontally and Vertically to Mat 

  • Center Openings Horizontally and Vertically to Mat aligns the objects Horizontally and Vertically to the Center of the Mat.

  • Select the desired object(s).

  • Click Center Openings Horizontally/Vertically to Mat.

  • The object is centered to the mat both horizontally and vertically.

Center Openings Vertically to Mat

  • Center Openings Vertically to Mat aligns the objects Vertically to the Center of the Mat.

  • Select the desired object(s).

  • Click Center Openings Vertically to Mat.

  • The object is centered to the mat vertically.

Horizontal Alignment Buttons

  • The middle row of the Alignment Buttons are the Horizontal Alignment Buttons, which align the selection of openings Horizontally within their bounding rectangle.

  • These buttons activate when two or more objects are selected.

  • The Bounding rectangle is shown for illustration.

  •  Align to Left Edge

  • Align to Center

  • Align to Right Edge

The Bounding Rectangle is a dotted or invisible rectangle that encompasses the outermost boundaries of the Selected object(s) in Designer and Trace.

Align to Left Edge

  • Align to Left Edge aligns the objects horizontally to the left edge of the bounding rectangle of the selected openings. 

  • Select the desired objects.

  • Click Align to Left Edge

  • The objects align to the left edge of the bounding rectangle.

  • The Bounding rectangle is shown for illustration.

  • Align to Center aligns the objects centered horizontally within the bounding rectangle of the selected openings.

  • Select the desired objects.

  • Click Align to Center.

  • The objects align to the center of the bounding rectangle.

Align to Right Edge

  • Align to Right Edge aligns the objects horizontally to the right edge of the bounding rectangle of the selected openings. 

  • Select the desired objects.

  • Click Align to Right Edge.

  • The objects align to the right edge of the bounding rectangle.

  • The Bounding rectangle is shown for illustration.

Vertical Alignment Buttons

  • The bottom row of the Alignment Buttons are the Vertical Alignment Buttons, which align the selection of openings Vertically within their bounding rectangle.

  • These buttons activate when two or more objects are selected.

  • Align to Bottom Edge

  • Align to Middle

  • Align to Top Edge

  • Align to Bottom Edge aligns the objects vertically to the bottom edge of the bounding rectangle of the selected openings.

  • Select the desired objects.

  • Click Align to Bottom Edge.

  • The objects align to the bottom edge of the bounding rectangle.

  • The Bounding rectangle is shown for illustration.

Align to Middle

  • Align to Middle aligns the objects vertically to the middle within the bounding rectangle of the selected openings. 

  • Select the desired objects.

  • Click Align to Middle.

  • The objects align to the middle of the bounding rectangle.

  • The Bounding rectangle is shown for illustration.

Align to Top Edge

  • Align to Top Edge aligns the objects vertically to the top edge of the bounding rectangle of the selected openings.

  • Select the desired objects.

  • Click Align to Top Edge.

  • The objects align to the top edge of the bounding rectangle.

  • The Bounding rectangle is shown for illustration.
