Using the Backup and Overcut Display on the Cut Preview for Troubleshooting

 Exterior Backup Definition

The Exterior Backup controls where the Blade Plunges into the Matboard (not the Fallout) on the Exterior cut. 

The Exterior Backup field is marked with a Green Arrow on the Configuration screen and the Map illustration.

If the Exterior Backup is cut too Short, it can leave a Hook in the corner.

If the Exterior Backup is cut too Long, Decrease the Exterior Backup.

If the Exterior Backup is cut too Short, Increase the Exterior Backup.

 Interior Backup Definition

The Interior Backup controls where the Blade Plunges into the Fallout (not the Matboard) on the Interior cuts of Non-Oval Openings.

The Interior Backup field is marked with a Black Arrow on the Configuration screen and the Map illustration.

If the Interior Backup is cut too Long, Decrease the Interior Backup.

If the Interior Backup is cut too Short, Increase the Interior Backup.

 Exterior V-Groove Backup Definition

The V-Groove Exterior Backup controls where the Blade Plunges into the Matboard (not the Fallout) on the Exterior cuts of the Outside Cut of the V-Groove.

The V-Groove Exterior Backup field is marked with a Green Arrow on the Configurations screen and the Map illustration.

If the Exterior Backup on the Outside Cut of the V-Groove is cut too Long, Decrease the Exterior Backup.

If the Exterior Backup on the Outside Cut of the V-Groove is cut too Short, Increase the Exterior Backup.

 Interior V-Groove Backup Definition

The V-Groove Interior Backup controls where the Blade Plunges into the Fallout (not the Matboard) on the Interior cuts on the Inside Cut of the V-Groove.

The V-Groove Interior Backup field is marked with a Black Arrow on the Configurations screen and the Map illustration.

If the Interior Backup on the Inside Cut of the V-Groove is cut too Long, Decrease the Interior Backup.

If the Interior Backup on the Inside Cut of the V-Groove is cut too Short, Increase the Interior Backup.

 Exterior Overcut Definition

The Exterior Overcut controls where the Blade Retracts from the Matboard (not the Fallout) on the Exterior cut.

The Exterior Overcut field is marked with a Red Arrow on the Configuration screen and the Map illustration.

If the Exterior Overcut is cut too Long, Decrease the Exterior Overcut.

If the Exterior Overcut is cut too Short, Increase the Exterior Overcut.

If the Interior Overcut is cut too Long, Decrease the Interior Overcut.

 Exterior V-Groove Overcut Definition

The V-Groove Exterior Overcut controls where the Blade Retracts from the Matboard (not the Fallout) on the Exterior cuts of the Outside Cut of the V-Groove.

The V-Groove Exterior Overcut field is marked with a Red Arrow on the Configurations screen and the Map illustration.

If the Exterior Overcut on the Outside Cut of the V-Groove is cut too Long, Decrease the Exterior Overcut.

If the Exterior Overcut on the Outside Cut of the V-Groove is cut too Short, Increase the Exterior Overcut.
