Spacing Section

The Spacing section on the Alignment Tab is divided up into two sections:

  • Space a selection of objects evenly between the outermost objects.

  • Space objects a specified distance from each other.

Spacing Openings

This example uses four 2x3 (5x7 cm) openings on a 16x20 (40x50 cm).

Make sure the Positioning Toggle is positioning from the bottom mat (arrow pointing down).

Space Objects Horizontally (Evenly)

Place the openings along the bottom of the mat.

Have one opening snapped to the lower left Border Line, and one opening snapped to the right Border Line.

Click on the Alignment Tab.

Select all the openings.

Click Space Objects Horizontally.

The selected openings will be spaced evenly between the outermost openings.

Space Objects Vertically (Evenly)

Move the openings along the left side of the mat.

Have one opening snapped to the bottom left Border Line, and one opening snapped to the top left Border Line.

Click on the Alignment Tab.

Select all the openings.

Click the Space Objects Vertically button.

The selected openings will be spaced evenly between the outermost openings.

Space Objects Horizontally (Specified Distance)

Move the openings along the bottom of the mat.

Click on the Alignment Tab.

Select all the openings.

Enter 1.5 (3.5 cm) in the Space Horiz field.

Click the Space Horiz button.

The openings will be spaced with 1.5” (3.5 cm) between them.

Space Objects Vertically (Specified Distance)

Move the openings along the left side of the mat.

Click on the Alignment Tab.

Select all the openings.

Enter 1.5 (3.5 cm) in the Space Vert field.

Click the Space Vert button.

The openings will be spaced with 1.5” (3.5 cm) between them.
